Overview: It is a legal requirement of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) that all employers provide adequate training and equipment for their staff in order to maintain the health and safety of in the workplace. This course equips delegates with the theory and practical knowledge to enable them to deal with first aid emergencies.
Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course delegates will understand the role of the first aid, be able to respond to an emergency situation and be able to deal with:
- An unresponsive casualty
- Chest pains
- Burns and scalds
- Eye injuries
Assessment Methods: The course is assessed by means of a practical assessment at the end of the course.
Course Duration: 3 days
Entry Requirements: None, although a minimum of Level 2 or equivalent in English language and numeracy is recommended.
Costs: £130 per delegate
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course delegates will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate which is valid for three years.
