Overview: This award is suitable for anyone involved in the management of fire safety in the workplace, including team leaders, fire marshals, managers and anyone working in an area where there is a potential risk of fire.
Objectives: The course explains how to reduce the risk of fire and behaviour which will promote health and safety in the workplace. Key topics include:
- Understand the risks of fire in the workplace
- Controlling fire in the workplace
- The principles of fire safety management
- The role of the nominated fire marshal
Assessment Methods: Assessment consists of a 30 minute multiple choice questionnaire.

Entry Requirements: None, although a minimum of Level 1 or equivalent in English language and numeracy is recommended.
