Overview: This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to teach or is already teaching either in further education, for an independent training provider or the local authority.
The course is extremely flexible and since teaching practice, other than optional micro-teaching, is not required it is particularly suitable for those who do not have the opportunity for teaching practise. This may include:
- Assessors who wish to develop their careers and move into teaching
- Individuals who wish to gain a teaching qualification but who are not able to access practical experience.
Assessment Methods: Assessment is by means of completion of a learner portfolio of evidence. This should demonstrate knowledge, understanding and the application of teaching practices including evidence of:
- The roles, responsibilities and relationships in training and education.
- Insight and practical knowledge about inclusive teaching approaches
- The values of different assessment methods.
Course Duration: 1 day
Entry Requirements: None, although a minimum of level 1 or equivalent in English language and numeracy is recommended.
Costs: £295 per delegate
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course the delegate will be awarded with Education and Training (QCF) Level 3, accredited by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC).
